Vintage Notes
2019 vintage evolved into an almost perfect growing season. Heavy rains transitioned into a mild summer with warm temperatures continuing through the autumn. The cool mornings helped retain vibrancy and freshness in the wines and the mild afternoon temperatures provided plenty of hangtime that resulted in deep color and soft tannins in the reds. 2019 wines are characterized by their texture and finesse, getting better and better with age.
Winemaker's Notes
Four-day cold maceration followed by 18 days of fermentation. Daily pumpovers during active fermentation at 88°F. 19 days total vat time followed by malolactic fermentation in barrel. Aged for 18 months in 100% French oak barrels. New for this vintage is PINOT NOIR in the blend.
